Who we are
At the Rural Health Initiative, we believe that where you live shouldn’t determine the quality of care you receive. Every Australian deserves access to high-quality, innovative healthcare—no matter what postcode they choose to call home.
We’re a not-for-profit organisation led by regional Australians, from regional Australia, for regional Australians. Unlike many organisations, we don’t operate from a distant city office. Instead, we’re based in the communities we serve, ensuring that local voices shape the care we deliver.
Our mission is simple but vital: to close the gap in rural health by providing free or low-cost healthcare services tailored to the unique needs of regional communities. From General Practice to Women’s Health, Paediatrics, and Aged Care, our work spans the full spectrum of care, ensuring no one is left behind.
To make this possible, we rely on grants, partnerships, and community support. Together, we can build a future where every rural and regional Australian has access to the world-class healthcare they deserve. We invite you to be part of that future.
